The Department of Women and Equality has installed this morning an information table in the Plaza of the Constitution to provide the tools and information about organizations working to end violence against women
The Councillor for Women and Equality, Guadalupe Garcia, with this negotiated staff and women who have contributed to this program have been distributed today white ribbons, the symbol of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, in an information table installed in Plaza de la Constitution.
Moreover, from this table is reported to women organizations and procedures exist to deal with cases of abuse.
It also has offered to citizens information that explains the true extent of the problem of gender violence and the writer and journalist Gabriel Carrión, editor of Fox!, Julia Navarro, has distributed copies of this work that collects testimonies of 18 victims.
The Councillor for Women and Equality, Guadalupe Garcia, has stated that this information table culminate the events planned by the city to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, who have had as main objective to deepen awareness and awareness against this social evil.
