The mayor of San Javier, Martinez Visitation, and the curate of the parish of St. Peter the Apostle, Antonio Lax, opened the Bethlehem Municipal accompanied by its author, as well as several councilors and representatives of associations and social groups in the municipality.
The Christmas events in San Javier last night officially began with the traditional lighting of the lighting and the Bethlehem Municipal, by the mayor, Visitation Martinez, the council of Celebration, Silvia Egea, and the curate of the parish church of San Pedro Apostle Antonio Lax, accompanied by members of the Municipal Corporation and representatives of various groups and associations.
After 20:00 hours and after the blessing of the priest, the mayor by the council of Celebration and the rest of the delegation toured the Bethlehem, accompanied by manager Belenes Horadada.
For over 15 years, Nativity Horadada is responsible for the installation of this Bethlehem in Constitution Square, which currently has dimensions of 6 meters wide by 18 long.
The installation recreates various passages of the Bible and of the birth of Christ, and genre scenes of shepherds and farmers.
Moreover, Belen includes two separate buildings allegories emblematic of San Javier, such as the Molino de La Torre Ezequiela and Quemada.
The event, which was attended by dozens of neighbors, was enlivened by the municipal band played several carols in front of the tent where Bethlehem is installed in the Plaza de la Constitucion.
The events continue today with the play "The age of Pavosauro" by Aidemar, from 21:00 in the tent city, which also will host tomorrow, Sunday 16, the child of chrismas Christmas contest, organized by the association La Llana, at 10:00 am and, after 18:00 pm will host the show "One, two, three ... Play, laugh and make shopping in San Javier," a contest conducted by Roper comedian in which neighbors of San Javier can get interesting gifts given by the businesses of the town.
