In relation to the press release issued by UPyD on changing tax ordinances, the Mayor of San Javier, Visitation Martinez, has denied the general increase of municipal rates and reiterated that it is simply updating four of the 30 that exist, and the inclusion of new bonuses aimed at entrepreneurs, businessmen, construction of municipal interest and environmental.
Thus, recalled that the full Nov. 7 approved the amendment of municipal taxation which included the addition of a bonus for entrepreneurs than 50% in the rate of administrative activity of opening establishments license and a bonus of up to 95% of the tax on construction, installations or schemes (ICICI) for construction of municipal interest declared that encourage employment or affecting social, cultural or historical-artistic.
Also approved a 30% bonus tax motor vehicles for hybrid, electric or gas combustion and modified the reductions in pensioners, establishing a progressive in garbage collection fees and water supply .
The plenary also approved the update, according to cumulative CPI since 2009, rates for issuing administrative documents, in granting planning permission, street occupation, and household garbage collection.
In this regard, Visitation Martinez recalled that this measure was established already in the Municipal Adjustment Plan, adopted by the plenary on 28 March, and regretted that UPyD Councilman omit that the City is required to update rates deficit, as those identified in accordance with the commitments made to the Ministry of Finance to balance public accounts after the conclusion of an ICO credit worth more than 17 million to take over the payment to suppliers.
As to the allegations made by UPyD, the mayor has called the "repetitive", since the proposals of this group have already been discussed and rejected by the majority of the city at the meeting held on 7 November.
