The event, to be held from 27 to 31 March in Lo Pagan, includes sports, games, cultural, environmental, gastronomic, shopping and entertainment whose nexus the Mar Menor and its environment
The mayor of San Javier, Visitation Martinez, and Council of Trade, Jose Guillermo Garcia and Tourism, Antonio García, today presented the Second Sea World Exhibition, an event dedicated to the marine world which will run from 27 to 31 March in Lo Pagan with a wide range of activities, from 10:30 to 14:30 and 16:30 to 20:30.
Visitation Martinez explained that the Sea World Exhibition II become, for the second consecutive year, the esplanade of Lo Pagán and its environment in a large theme park of the sea.
It has also highlighted the success of the first edition of this event, which last year attracted more than 15,000 visitors and a great acceptance in all scheduled activities.
The aim of this exhibition is to highlight the sea, the municipality livelihood throughout the centuries, and to give the municipality a leisure day, mainly aimed at families, during Holy Week, complementing the traditional processions that take place in the town for over 60 years.
For his part, Councillor of Commerce has indicated that the program includes a permanent exhibition on the esplanade, showcasing fishing boats, sports and rescue, traditional means of fishing, a recreation of the salt, and a fish farm.
Also, this space will be located in a sample of the Sea Museum, of the Fishermen's Association, associations such as the Virgen del Carmen, Red Cross, related groups and thalassotherapy mud therapy, as well as water sports, among others.
Jose Guillermo Garcia, also stressed that new in this edition, it will install an audiovisual room where visitors can watch informative projections on the Mar Menor and its environment.
Among the more than forty activities included in this second edition, the program includes guided tours of the Regional Park of Salinas and Arenales de San Pedro, the Spanish Institute of Oceanography, and the Salt craft market that also offer craft workshops.
A series of talks and lectures, activities and children's theater, exhibitions rescue demonstration and development of recreational pot fish auction as before or maritime procession of the Virgen del Carmen, are other activities offered by the Second Sea World Exhibition.
In addition, there will be the Route II sailor cap, involving bars and restaurants around the town, a photo contest, and a full calendar of sporting activities including baptisms and sailing canoe, kayak trip, days modernization of sailing, canoeing regattas and beach soccer competitions and beach volleyball.
The Sea World Exhibition II will also provide transportation for visitors with train routes and tourist boat and a campaign that taxis have joined the municipality for the promotion and publicity of the event.
The mayor concluded by thanking the collaboration of over thirty companies, organizations and partners and invited all who pass the Easter in our town to visit this II Sea World Exhibition.
