Financial institutions operating in San Javier have already provided to potential beneficiaries of Social Housing Fund a total of 22 properties.
The City of San Javier joined last March to the agreement for the establishment of the Social Fund, signed by the national executive, the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces and financial institutions for the implementation of a stock 6000 housing for people affected by evictions since 2008.
Under the agreement, banks will inform the Council about the homes available to the Social Housing Fund, and the Department of Social Services will provide reports on the need or risk of the applicant.
Also, from Social Services advises those who wish to apply for housing social rented, costing between 150 and 400 euros and will always be less than 30% of the income of the beneficiary.
Those interested can visit the website IMSERSO (www.imserso.es), which publishes a periodic list of housing available to this fund in the various municipalities assigned.
The City of San Javier has undertaken several measures in recent months to address in a comprehensive manner this social problem, as the implementation of an information and advisory service aimed at families in the municipality affected by eviction processes, that provided in the Social Services.
Also, from the Department of Employment coordinates information with financial institutions in this area.
The service and information to those affected by evictions are served on Mondays, from 11:00 to 14:00 in the Social Services building, located in C / Los Alcazares.
