The House of Culture Friday welcomed the start of the Amateur Theatre Festival III of San Pedro del Pinatar with the play "La Soga" performed by The Sloop, a company comprised mostly of blind and visually impaired actors of ONCE Cartagena
Cartagena The Sloop The company will be responsible for opening the Amateur Theatre Festival III of San Pedro del Pinatar, which starts on Friday with the work of intrigue "La Soga" from 22:00 pm at the House of Culture .
This macabre story, written by Patrick Hamilton and filmed by Alfred Hitchcock, tells the story of Brandon and Philip, two young wealthy New Yorkers who decide to implement their theories about the perfect crime.
The Sloop was born as a performance project in 2009-2010 and climbs on stage for the first time three years ago ONCE headquarters of Cartagena, later passing through various scenarios of Murcia and participating locations, also with this work, in the ONCE Theatre Biennale XIV held from 16 to 20 April this year in Barcelona.
Apart from this show, the scene gained Sloop works like "Flight of gull" by Jorge Fullana, "In Search of the duende", Garcia Lorca, "The last Spanish" by Arthur Miller, "Macbeth" by William Shakespeare , "No suicide in spring" by Alejandro Casona, and "death stories" collective creation.
The Amateur Theatre Festival III of San Pedro del Pinatar continue on Sunday May 12 with the comedy "All of extras" by José Sanchis sinister, in charge of the local La Barraca of Federico.
