The public school students The Antolinos, San Pedro del Pinatar, participated today in a charity race with which they have managed to raise 482.77 euros and more than 50 kilos of nonperishable food that have been delivered to Caritas Parish.
The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitation Martinez, the councilors of Education and Social Policy, Guadalupe Garcia and Francisca Pelegrin, today attended the activity and delivery of the donation by the center's director, Lazaro Perez, the president of Caritas Parish, Antonio Tárraga.
The school's Antolinos held the third edition of this charity race in which includes four Tests to the different educational levels with different distances.
Thus, the activity has started at 09:30 with child students, and has continued until after 13:00 pm with proof of children in fifth and sixth grade.
The center's director explained that the aim of this activity is to promote solidarity among the smallest and that they are aware of the work being done in the city associations such as Caritas.
For his part, Antonio Tárraga thanked the initiative this school and explained that Caritas works everyday helping people in difficulty through the distribution of food, as well as support for payment of other basic needs.
The mayor, Visitation Martinez has praised this race, with which promote values ​​such as solidarity, friendship and coexistence of students.
Participants and their families have handed over the day-perishable food donations and parish Caritas allocated to users at risk of social exclusion in the city serving.
In addition, the school has expanded throughout the week the deadline for those students and families who wish to donate food.
