The festivities in honor of San Pedro del Pinatar recover this year concerts and shows in different scenarios, in addition to a more traditional acts and an extended range of recreational, dining, sports and leisure
The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitation Martinez and the Councillor for Culture and Celebrations, Silvia Egea, today presented the program of the Festivities 2013 in honor of St. Peter the Apostle.
Visitation Martinez stressed that this year the momentum has been given to the festivities, after two editions in which the economic situation forced to cut the program.
So, this year will feature new shows, all free, "that the holidays are affordable for all and are more participatory."
The mayor thanked the work of the different councils involved and the enthusiasm of associations, clubs, kingdoms and groups, without which it would be possible to develop this holiday.
For its part, the council of Celebration stressed familiarity and pinatarenses holiday tradition, with its preamble this weekend with the second annual pinatarense side and that after the feast of St. Peter the Apostle, June 29, will continue with the Virgen del Carmen and culminate in August with the parties of the districts of Villananitos and El Mojon.
PROGRAMME OF ACTIVITIES
Programming the festivity in honor of Saint Peter the Apostle, will begin on Friday June 14, with the Proclamation, by Manolo Sotomayor, broadcaster Cadena 100 Cartagena, and Saturday 15 with the gala election and coronation of the reigns children, youth and the Elderly, the orchestra Carpe Diem, both acts in the Park La Aduana.
On Monday, June 17, will open at the Casino Cultural an exhibition of books and playbills Party of the municipality of the past 60 years and 21 and June 22 will be held the VIII Festival of Folklore "Villa de San Pedro "by de la Peña The Cauldron.
Also on Friday June 21 will inaugurate the exhibition of popular barracks, in which the rocks of the municipality be various activities for nine days, as crazy car race, Gymcana, contests, theme nights, etc..
One of the main novelties of this program is testing "Pinatarius" which takes place on Sunday 23 and consists of an obstacle course in which participants will have to overcome various difficulties in a distance of seven miles from the Leisure Centre and Emerging Arts to Sports.
On Wednesday June 26th the show will take place "Vive la copla" with Antonio Hidalgo, which includes performances by various singers and dancers, in the park of La Aduana.
The turn of the youngest will be Thursday, June 27, with Rasel Sevillian artist concert, sponsored by Top 40 Cartagena.
On 28 and 29 will be the turn of the most traditional events like CCXVI Cattle Fair, the offering of fruit to the employer, orchard Mass, the solemn procession of St. Peter the Apostle and the traditional concert by the band municipal music.
The program is completed with various sporting, cultural, religious and children, planned in collaboration with associations and groups in the municipality.
In addition, during the months of July and August will continue the festivities in the coastal zone of Lo Pagan, who will each year the main attraction on the feast of the Virgin of Carmen, which this year will be preceded by a concert on the beach Melocos and Taxi, by Cadena 100, Councilwoman Celebration forward.
