The Full Council of San Pedro del Pinatar has today approved the government's proposal to change popular Fiscal Ordinance regulating the Property Tax (IBI) so that the tax rate is reduced from 0.80 to 0.78% in 2014.
The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitation Martinez, explained that this measure is to compensate for the expected rise in the revision of the rateable value of the homes to be made this year.
Visitation Martinez said that this tax rate reduction of 0.78% will be reflected in a drop in IBI receipt of next year for most pinatarenses and that only a very small percentage will rise minimal.
The mayor has also indicated that with this modification the City keep the collection in the levels of 2013, giving up increase revenue in order to ease the tax burden on the residents of the municipality.
In this regard, he recalled that since the current government team have made several steps in this direction as the reform of the tax ordinance passed in 2013 to provide increased credit facilities to taxpayers, expanding and enabling deferrals fractionation debt from 100 euros.
