The municipal council of San Pedro del Pinatar approved yesterday at the plenary session on new Ordinance Regulating the collection and management of household waste and street cleaning, which supersedes 1999 and adapts to the changes contained in the new state law.
The new law regulates the collection and storage system separately from other types of waste such as organic fraction, light packaging, paper and cardboard, glass, oils, textiles, batteries, pruning, appliances, and electrical and electronic equipment.
It also regulates the rules of use of containers, waste disposal schedules by citizens and service standards and use of Municipal Ecopark.
Regulation also includes the cleaning of the roads and public spaces, for it is collected municipal responsibility for street cleaning and fumigation, pest control and disinfection and cleaning conditions, hygiene, health and ornate public spaces and private property.
Finally, the standard includes a system of penalties, with the definition of offenses, penalties and required replacement and restoration of the original state.
Moreover, the House approved the General Account of 2012, as showing the liquidation budget shows a surplus of one million euros.
