The famous Shakespearean tragedy will be performed by Ballet Flamenco Dance Company Murcia (CmDanza) on Friday August 9 in the park Customs from 23:00 hours
The passionate romance set in a family conflict facing death at the Capulets and Montagues was the work chosen by CmDanza to kick off the festival Salt Street, held this weekend in San Pedro del Pinatar.
CmDanza emerged in 1996 from the hand of Purification Lopez and Olivia Bella Ballet dancers Murcia, as a platform between the academic and the professional world.
The dancers that make up the company have toured several venues in the country before reaching the town marmenorense, besides acting in France, Italy, Algeria and the United States.
The artistic direction of the work is done by Olivia Bella, who has a career expands which includes collaborations with great personalities of dance and choreography such as José Granero, Joaquín Cortés, Antonio Marquez and Rosita Segovia.
He currently combines his work as head of CmDanza with their teaching as flamenco teacher in the Dance Conservatory of Murcia.
The coaching staff of the company consists of the aforementioned Olivia Bella, Puri Lopez and "La Zambra" as choreographers, Antonio GM as stage director, Ana Maria Vivancos in theater direction, Pepón and Ana Belén Navarro vesturario, music Faustino Fernandez and Jesus Martinez and John Simon Abellán in charge of lighting.
The play Romeo and Juliet is integrated into the Festival Street Sal, which celebrates its third year with the aim of responding to citizen demands artistic initiatives in open public spaces, through free attractive proposals and are able to bring the performing arts to residents of the municipality and those who visit in the summer.
The festival continues on Saturday August 10 with children's musical La Casita mouse, at 21:00 in the Park of the Customs, and cabaret Coal Club, a show in honor of the miners, at 23:00 in the parking located opposite the Cultural Casino on Avenida Emilio Castelar.
