The City of San Pedro del Pinatar and regional committee of Spanish Red Cross in the region have signed a new cooperation agreement to improve the home telecare service.
The City of San Pedro del Pinatar and Red Cross have signed a new agreement regarding home telecare, in order to expand and improve the service provided since 2004 through this entity.
Under this agreement, extending the number of subsidized telecare terminals, rising from 40 to 75 units.
Currently, there are now 137 beneficiaries who use this municipal service.
The new agreement, which replaces the company in 2004, incorporates other improvements such as the construction of five locator devices for people with cognitive impairment which allow, through a program of announcements, information about the location and movement of users who carry .
In addition, the City Red Cross offers the installation of five mobile alarm devices, a service that allows users to immediately contact a support center that operates 24 hours a day to emergency situations in travel outside the home.
The City will also receive at no additional cost five wheelchairs and walkers by five Red Cross for temporary loan to them among the users of municipal home care service.
Under this agreement, the Red Cross also held campaigns for prevention and health promotion among followers regarding measures to be taken to extreme temperatures such as heat waves or cold, flu vaccination, and preventing falls.
