The ambulance, intended to provide basic life support and initial care, replaces one of the two vehicles that had the SAMU and had exhausted its useful period after eight years.
The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Martinez Visitation along Civil Protection Councilman Pedro Luis Vera, and Emergency Services coordinator, Vicente Salas, today presented the new ambulance service joins Municipal Emergency Assistance ( SAMU).
Visitation Martinez explained that this vehicle, purchased through centralized procurement for an amount of 59,830 euros, replaces one of the two ambulances that comprise the ED, after it had exhausted the legal term of use, fixed in eight years.
This vehicle has the equipment of an ambulance class B, designed to provide basic life support and initial care.
The new ambulance has been carrozada following the technical specifications of Royal Decree 836/2012 and the European legislation on medical transport vehicles and equipment.
Equipping the new ambulance includes a range of immobilizing material, equipment for initial assessment and decision constants of patients as well as a more functional modular furniture and optimized.
SAMU Ambulances are served by a staff of two technicians in health emergencies 24 hours a day, and have served since the beginning of the year a total of 1055 accident and emergency notices on public streets and homes of San Pedro and other points in the region of the Mar Menor, based on agreement between the council and the Murcia Health Service.
