The Department of Citizenship Association collaborates with families and people with mental illness from the Mar Menor (AFEM) in the activities scheduled for the week of mental health.
AFEM The association has scheduled various activities to promote understanding and acceptance of people with mental illness, due to the Mental Health Week.
The Citizen Participation Department today participated in this program with a talk aimed at users AFEM Day center under the title "Citizen Participation everyone's right."
In the talk, given by the municipal technical Eva González, has addressed civic participation and human rights, developing a sense of belonging to the association and encouraging active listening and conflict resolution in a constructive and respectful of the rights of others .
Then all participants have performed the "alphabet soup of Human Rights", learning that all rights corresponding to their duty, and performing groups that talk about concepts such as freedom, work, justice, equality .
They have also reviewed basic questions about the European Union, taking advantage of the celebration of the European Year of Citizens, and has delivered them a didactic map.
In addition, the Councillor for Citizen Participation, Silvia Egea, donated to the Library Day Center the novel "The Secret of the Mar Menor" and showed the Council's commitment to the ongoing work of AFEM in the township, being available for future collaboration.
