The Councillor for Citizen Participation, Silvia Egea, joined this group at the meeting held weekly to develop their activities at the headquarters of the Association of Residents of El Mojon.
The Mar Menor Widows Association meets every Wednesday afternoon, from 16:00 to 21:00 hours in the city located in El Mojon, sharing space with the representatives of the association of residents of this neighborhood.
Widows Association Mar Menor began in 2006, with the objectives of providing help, support and defend this group of women.
By fostering support, active listening and creating a specific forum for this group in which to share experiences and leisure time.
Since 2006 there are many activities that have been carried out, as was the current president of the association, Pepita Navas, Executive Councillor for Citizen Participation, Silvia Egea.
The representatives of the Association of Widows Mar Menor, presented the advantages of being associated, how important it is for women to feel supported and accompanied.
The Parcheesi, leisure games, conversation, sharing small moments, have a coffee or plan a trip together, help make the whole process more bearable.
The Councillor for Citizen Participation, informed the representatives of the Association of all the activities that are being developed at the municipal level from various councils, they show great interest in participating in the activities of "cinepeques" accompanying their grandchildren to the Free that each first and third Saturday of the month is offered for children in the auditorium of the Municipal Culture House.
