The Plenum of San Pedro del Pinatar today approved the ordinance initially for the regulation of parking of vehicles (ORA), which will involve the introduction of the blue from 15 June to 15 September in the first coastal line along the boardwalks of beaches and Villananitos Puntica and Esplanade Lo Pagan.
The service will include 450 parking spaces and a minimum of 32 seats for the disabled, 30 motorcycle and 30 bicycle also respecting the loading and unloading areas and reserved to hotels will be allocated.
The fixed rate will be 0.70 euros per hour from 12:00 to 22:00 pm and from 0.90 euros at night, from 22:00 to 4:30 hours and four hours are set as maximum allowed time occupation of a square.
Councilman Transport, José Guillermo García, explained that the objective of this measure is to promote the commercial and business sector in the area, offering a better fluidity and ease of parking.
Also, the council has indicated that this proposal is supported by economic, legal and traffic reports, made by intervention, City Clerk and head of the local police, respectively.
Among other advantages of the introduction of limited parking, the council pointed out that with this measure the problems that arise in the area during the summer, as the use of parking almost exclusive and permanent for weeks so even months be mitigated, will contribute mobility and a higher turnover of vehicles, thus eliminating the double rows or slowing of traffic that usually occurs in the area.
The different pathways are affected Avenue El Generalístimo, from the junction with the Campoamor Avenue to the border with Santiago de La Ribera (zone A), parking Esplanade Lo Pagán (zone B), and Campoamor Street to the Mill Quentin (zone C).
In this last area, parking will be free after 22:00.
