The full City Council has approved a joint motion signed by the PP, PSOE, and UPyD DPi group to put the name of this building which was mayor of Social Services, Women and Equality 1999-2007.
The Center of Social and Women, which since 2010 concentrated municipal care resources, support and information in this field will be named Agustina Santiago García, Councillor developer of this project and who died in 2012.
The full City Council today approved a joint motion of PP, PSOE, and UPyD DPi so that the building bears the name of what was once mayor of Social Services, Women and Equality 1999-2007.
All groups have agreed to highlight the perseverance of Agustina Santiago to launch the project and secure funding, as well as his devotion and dedication to the most needy of the town at the head of the Department of Social Services people.
The mayor, Visitacion Martinez thanked the recognition of his work expressed by different groups of the whole, and concluded that this agreement to honor the memory of Santiago Agustina is, "a woman who went out to help the most disadvantaged ".
