Registered unemployment in the town in February stood at 2,732 unemployed, representing a reduction of 106 unemployed, 3.74 percent less than the same month of 2013.
The Department of Employment has reported that the registered unemployment in February in San Pedro del Pinatar has the best figure in recent years although this is traditionally a month when unemployment rises.
The figure of 2,732 is a decrease of unemployed unemployed 106 for the month of February 2013, 3.74 percent year on year.
For the month of January, the registered unemployment has been reduced by 52 unemployed, 1.87 percent.
This decline has occurred mainly in the group of men aged 25 to 44, with 43 fewer unemployed, and in the services sector, where there have been 24 fewer unemployed.
Another statistic that reflects the changing trend is the increase in the number of social security contributions in January rose by 43 people.
Councilman Employment and Training, Antonio García, praised the turnaround data showing the first two months of 2014, because, despite being a time when traditional jobs are being destroyed, both January and February there have been significant decreases in the unemployment rate.
