The City of San Pedro del Pinatar organizes the Seventh Conference on Citizenship bearing the title "Join the Europe you want" promotes debate about the Union at the local level
The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitacion Martinez and the Councillor for Citizen Participation, Silvia Egea, presented today at a press conference the Seventh Conference on Citizen Participation "Join the Europe you want" to be held on March 27 in the Social Services Centre Agustina Santiago.
Visitation Martinez stressed that this conference will have as its central theme the role of the European Parliament as a democratic body, highlighting its importance in decision-making for European citizenship.
The mayor has said that these days are intended to answer questions that arise daily citizens about the benefits of belonging to the European Union and which provides opportunities for young people.
The Councillor for Citizen Participation, explained that on Thursday, March 27 and after the opening ceremony, the conference will start with the presentation "We are Europe", by Carmen Sandoval, Director General of the European Union and Foreign Affairs CARM.
