The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitacion Martinez, the manager of the Consortium for Fire Fire Region, Mariano Martinez, the president of North Mar Menor Red Cross, Fernando Carrasco, today visited the site where the seal will remain provisionally Township firefighters.
Mariano Martinez explained that this location will be temporary while the works of adaptation and improvement of the workplace, next to the Visitor Center Las Salinas are made.
In this regard, he noted that these works will last 150 days, so stay in the Red Cross headquarters, located in the Las Beatas for about 5 or 6 months.

Meanwhile, Visitacion Martinez stressed that with this move the fire station remain within the municipality and also it has expanded its provision with a new urban vehicle.
Currently the fire station, which last year made 260 interventions in San Pedro del Pinatar and municipalities of the Mar Menor, with two trucks fighting urban fires and one forest.
