A group of young university students of social anthropology at the University of Basel, this morning visited the fish market and Lo Pagan has done fieldwork on fishing in our town.
This visit is part of a work on the economy of the Region of Murcia, fishing and analyzing their current situation in a particular way, and emerges through the work of coordination between the Jean Monnet Chair of the Center for European Studies University of Murcia, with the Department of Citizenship of San Pedro del Pinatar.
The student group is led by Salvador Cayuela, Professor of Social Anthropology at the University of Murcia, and researcher at the Jean Monnet Chair.
The Jean Monnet Chair was granted by the European Union last 2011 at the University of Murcia and its main objective to investigate the process of European integration.
The holder of this Chair, Klaus Schriewer, author of The European Fisheries to an irreversible change has had several meetings with the brotherhood of fishermen town to exchange views on the influence of the fisheries policy of the European Union in the mode lives of fishermen.
Meanwhile, young middle-grade municipality enjoyed the presentation of the European Guide to Paso led by Professor Klaus Schriewer past Citizenship Days.
Young visitors have conducted interviews with local fishermen, accompanied by workers from the market of Lo Pagán, members of the Fishermen's Association staff and the Department of Citizen Participation.
