The paddler pinatarense Cristina Gómez scored on 20 April in Finland runner-up European Under 19 squash as part of the national team
EM sub national team.
19 was held from 17 to 20 April in Helsinki (Finland).
The national team was formed by Edmon Lopez, Iker Pajares, Bernat Jaume and pinatarense Cristina Gomez, 15, as the only female representative.
Spain was drawn in Group C along with Hungary, Wales, Belgium and Norway, finishing as group winning all his matches.
In the quarterfinals the national team faced the host team, Finland, defeating her 3-0, in the semifinals while it was her turn to France, selection, starting number two championship and the Spanish team won by 2 to 0.
On Sunday, April 20, the favorite for the title, England beat Spain by 3-0, leaving the national team as runner-up in the European competition.
Before the tournament, the same city hosted the Finnish individual European Championship U19 in which Cristina Gómez, champion of Spain in this category, finished in the 11th position.
The paddler pinatarense consolidated in these competitions as it is one of the best players of squash at national and European level, with only 15 years, has been called to participate in all European Championship that will be held in Riccione (Italy) April 30 to May 3.
It has also been selected to compete in the UEFA Europa sub.
