The bikes that were in the impound for later scrapped, will be used in the first employment workshop partner that will take place in the Day Centre and the Association of Relatives of People with Mental Illness Mar Menor (AFEM ) located in Lo Pagan.
The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitacion Martinez, today presented to the president of the Association of Families and Persons with Mental Illness Mar Menor (AFEM), Juana Romero eight bikes that were in the impound and will go the socio-labor workshop held in this community center Day of Lo Pagan.
AFEM president thanked the support and collaboration that the City pays for all that partnership activities carried out in the region since its launch five years ago and recalled that since last year AFEM has a day center Lo Pagan, currently serves 20 users.
So, has indicated that AFEM start this Day Centre workshop socio-labor integration of bicycle repair, which will be donated material donated by the City and aims to facilitate access to employment center users.
For his part, the mayor explained that the eight donated bicycles were in the impound for scrapping later, that had been withdrawn by the local police for being in a state of neglect.
The mayor highlighted the work of developing awareness and attention AFEM in the Mar Menor region for insertion of people with mental illness.
