The City of San Pedro del Pinatar and telco TV Horadada Mar Menor have signed a collaboration agreement for the establishment of three free wifi areas in the Plaza of the Constitution, the Centre for Emerging Architecture Arts and beach Villananitos

The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitacion Martinez and TV manager Horadada Mar Menor, David de Gea, today signed a cooperation agreement by which the company will install three totally free WIFI zones in the Constitution Square, the Space Recreation, Leisure and Emerging Arts and Villananitos beach.

The agreement between the two entities also provides timely cooperation in tourism and cultural events by deploying access points.

Under the agreement, which has two years of operation, the company will install these WIFI zones within a period of three months and the City will facilitate the implementation of technical development and deployment of the service.

Visitation Martinez stressed the importance of this agreement to provide free internet access to citizens in high-traffic areas, such as Constitution Square, located in the center of town, and Space Recreation, Leisure and Emerging Arts , venue of the youth of the town.

Another significant aspect is that through this agreement will be the first Villananitos beach with free WIFI in the region.

The mayor stressed that this is one of the most popular beaches in the town and also the quality of water and sand, offers quality services, as evidenced by the blue flag that was recently granted.

Meanwhile, the manager of TV Horadada Mar Menor explained that the company has 25 years of experience in the field of telecommunications in the region and that this agreement is a step in the line of modernization and expansion that develops in the area.

The event was also attended by the Councillor for New Technologies, Álvaro Tárraga and communications director of the company, Ana Martin.
