The number of registered unemployed in the month of May in San Pedro del Pinatar stood at 2,386 unemployed for, representing a reduction of 65 unemployed from the previous month and 333 unemployed compared to the same month of 2013.
Councilman Employment and Training municipality of San Pedro del Pinatar, Antonio García, stressed that the positive trend in employment data recorded in the town in recent months, as the number of unemployed now stands below the figure unemployed in 2010 in the same month.
Unemployment has decreased mainly in the field of age between 25 and 44 years with 31 fewer unemployed (16 men and 15 women), and the service sector, with 41 fewer unemployed which leads the trend down.
Garcia noted that this trend in job creation is also reflected in the Social Security data, since in April (quantified locally last month) there was an increase of 211 number of Social Security, and from early year there have been 485 contributors more in San Pedro del Pinatar.
