San Pedro del Pinatar Saturday host the second edition of the popular race Pinatarius Obstaculum Cursus, a fun five-mile route where participants must deal with more than two dozen natural and artificial obstacles
The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitacion Martinez and the Councillor for Sports, Pedro Luis Vera, presented today at a press conference the second edition of the race Pinatarius Obstaculum Cursus, which will be held on Saturday, June 21, in part of the festivities.
Visitation Martinez has indicated that it has reached the maximum number of riders for this test, with 400 registered participants will face a surprise tour of about five miles and more than a dozen natural and artificial obstacles.
In this sense, the mayor highlighted the evolution of the race in just two editions, which has gone from 137-400 registry, also increasing significantly the local participants, with a total of 66 runners pinatarenses.
Most come from the region enrolled, 307 runners, but there are also participants from other regions such as Valencia, Andalusia, Madrid, Castilla La Mancha, Canary Islands, Extremadura and the Basque Country.
In addition, this second edition infant tests, called Pinatarius Impuves, which have 30 children enrolled will be made.
The tests, set in ancient Rome, have the Leisure and Arts Emerging as a starting point, starting infant testing at 18:30 and absolute race at 19:45.
Unlimited Art Association will conduct a performance before departure to encourage riders to fight for the promised glory and enliven the course and entry into target runners.
Before the start of the race will also act ballet Kebanna and after the finish and awards ceremony participants will also enjoy a dinner set in Roman times.
This race was born last year as part of the festivities in order to make a nod to the historical roots of the villa, as well as the ordeals faced by Roman gladiators.
