San Pedro del Pinatar honors its patron
The image of St. Peter the Apostle yesterday toured the streets of the village in his name day.
The festivities of San Pedro del Pinatar lived her big day yesterday with the procession of their patron, who toured the town streets yesterday accompanied by faithful neighbors, queens parties, local authorities and the Musical Union side.
After holding a huertana Mass at the Church of St. Peter the Apostle, the brothers of the brotherhood of San Pedro Apostle behaved shoulder pattern image that marched through the center of the town.
After the image of the holy procession closed the board of the Brotherhood and the mayor of the municipality, Visitacion Martinez, accompanied by members of the Municipal Corporation and local authorities.
Moreover, the Brotherhood of St. Peter the Apostle held in the morning at 10:30 am the official Mass in honor of the patron of the town, concelebrated by five priests.
After the Mass, the brotherhood gave out medals to the new brothers and two awards for members of the brotherhood were granted, which this year celebrates its 75th anniversary and, among other acts, new furniture donated to the sacristy of the church St. Peter the Apostle.
The events in honor of the patron closed with a concert by the local band "Musical Union" at 22:00 in the Parc de la Aduana, and firing a firework display at midnight, by the Church of the Holy Trinity.
