The course "Children at checkout: areas of intervention", held in San Pedro del Pinatar between 21 to July 25, will attempt to bring their students to the protection of children and adolescents from a rehabilitative perspective.
The course is led by Andrés Hernández Luis de Haro, Technical Service of Judicial Enforcement Measures Under the CARM;
Angela Day Herrero, professor at the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Murcia;
Maria Teresa Martinez Fuentes, Professor of Psychology and Education and Tortosa Diego Martínez, Director of the Center for Child Protection of Holy Angel.
According to officials of the activity, the social changes that are occurring from the economic crisis make intervention strategies need to search in the field of child protection and family intervention.
In this sense, the course tries to explain the intervention strategies used with children in vulnerable situations and provide recipients tools that can help detect situations of social risk or neglect.
The course is part of the International University of Mar-Campus Mare Nostrum, and has a duration of 25 hours.
Those who enroll in it shall be entitled to 2.5 elective credits or 1 credit ECTS-CRAU.
