Holdings programming and educational outreach, work cataloging, archiving and dissemination of the history of the town are some of the tasks that local volunteers play throughout the year in the town.

The local volunteer program "Discover the best in you, become a volunteer," which was launched in 2012 continues to expand its areas of activity, thanks to proposals and initiatives attached themselves to this plan.

Thus, during this course, have added two volunteers to civic archaeological museum and ethnographic Baron Benifayó, where they have developed cataloging tasks, support visits and organization of fairs and exhibitions, among other activities.

Volunteers for months are developing these tasks are Daniel Asilah, history buff and archeology, and Noemi Romero, passionate about painting and art in general.

This year we have also strengthened the program "volunteers for education", in which Ana López and Alberto Hermosilla have worked closely with the Department of Education in various activities and projects, such as the thirty-fifth anniversary of the Constitution, school visits, competition on environmental issues, Christmas events, etc..

In addition to local volunteers, the Department of Education has had to develop its activities with the association of English-speaking ADAPT, which has created a group of English-speaking school monitors during the course represented pray theater and storytelling adapted to various educational levels in several schools.

These activities are part of the local volunteer plan, which aims to develop and coordinate solidarity and altruistic actions that contribute to creating a better society by strengthening citizen participation and strengthening the involvement of people committed to the town.

The Department of volunteering is already drawing new lines of action for the third Local Plan voluntary, relying on the involvement of young people and working with the growing associations in the municipality.
