The pictures of Marta Gómez and Mario Henarejos were the winners of this first edition of the photo competition of the Virgen del Carmen, organized by the Municipality of San Pedro del Pinatar, the Fishermen's Association and the Association of Our Lady of Carmen
The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitacion Martinez, president of the Our Lady of Carmen, Charo Garcia and Mayor pattern of the Fishermen's Association, Juan Pablo Martínezm have today delivered the awards to the winners of the first photography contest the feast of the Virgen del Carmen.
The photograph in black and white by Marta Gómez, which takes the output of the Virgin of St. Peter the Apostle Church and the beginning of the festival, has been awarded in the category of land pilgrimage, with a prize of 150 euros .
Selected in the category of maritime procession, also awarded 150 euros, the picture has been presented by Mario Henarejos, a profile of the image of the Virgin and Child with the deep blue sea in the background.
Visitation Martinez stressed the high level of 12 photographs submitted to the competition and thanked the participation of all the contestants, also encouraged all those attending the festival of the Virgen del Carmen next year to send their snapshots this party.
San Pedro del Pinatar celebrates one of the most important days in the festival of the Virgen del Carmen, declared of Regional Tourist Interest in 1965 and this year, for the first time, organized a photo competition to promote and spread the feast that celebrated on 16 July.
The jury of the competition was made up of members linked to photography, the Fishermen's Association and the Nuestra Señora del Carmen.
