The City of San Pedro del Pinatar has dropped more than 50 percent telephone spending over the past year, thanks to the signing of a new contract of service that unifies fixed and mobile lines and includes several advantageous conditions for the session.
This contract, which was conducted through a public tender has been a telephony spending 60,000 euros over the last year, compared with 125,000 the previous year.
New Technologies Councilman Alvaro Tárraga, stressed that in addition to the significant reduction in spending, the new contract was awarded through open competition, making the company to submit a better offer and conditions were assessed.
In this sense, and in response to criticism from UPyD Alvaro Tárraga noted that the volume of mobile handsets and tablets from council meets the need of their availability outside of a schedule, which is totally false representing an increase in the cost of the current contract and has also been an increase in this type of device from the previous period.
He also stressed that the contract is tailored to the needs of the entire session, individually assessing the need for each line and improved technical conditions thereof.
