The Full Council of San Pedro del Pinatar today approved the ordinance regulating the installation of outdoor cafés and trade exhibitors in public.
San Pedro del Pinatar have a new ordinance regulating the installation of terraces and commercial exhibitors, which aims to adapt municipal regulation to the actual situation of such facilities and unify schedule, safety, and aesthetics.
The Councillor of Commerce, José Guillermo García, explained that this ordinance improves and renews passed in 2005, adapting to new exhibitors terraces and bars and shops are on public roads and improving conditions for installing them.
Thus, this new regulation provides that the closing time of these terraces is the same as the interior room, also offers the possibility of extending these establishments terrace beyond the facade of the premises, also occupying the adjoining property if this so authorizes.
The new ordinance also states that may have terraces all establishments is always to leave a minimum pitch of 1.20 meters, and regulates the number of tables and chairs that can be placed in each case.
The new document defines security standards to prevent blind spots to traffic, ensure that accessibility criteria are met, and unifies the rules on the type of furniture, umbrellas and awnings to be used, and how they should be stored and placed.
The mayor also said that the new ordinance prohibiting advertising of these terraces furniture, except for the company logo.
The objective of this measure is to provide a harmonized image of this type of facilities that are part of the urban landscape of the village.
