The II Drug Addiction Prevention Plan, coordinated by the Department of Social Services, performs activities this month aimed at vulnerable groups such as adolescents and the elderly.
So, for the third consecutive year, the health center of San Pedro del Pinatar has developed the campaign "Alcohol: consciousness science", framed in the Community program Argos, addressed to students of secondary schools in the municipality.
Through participatory and dynamic talks in schools and health center, health and teaching staff explain the risks of alcohol to teenagers for their physical, mental and social health.
After completing the program, young people complete a questionnaire about the risks of alcohol consumption through the internet who choose to draw for a tablet for students from each school.
Stakeholders involved institutes Dos Mares, Manuel Escribano Tárraga, St. Peter the Apostle School and New Castelar College.
Also under the Municipal Plan for the Prevention of Drug Addiction, health workers have been offered a briefing at the home of pensioner Jose Espinosa, Lo Pagan, responsible consumption of drugs in the elderly.
The objective of this session is to provide information about the consequences in the elderly drug abuse and promote the acquisition of skills necessary for responsible consumption.
