This morning, the largest in the town celebrated the "Grandparents Day", an international commemoration in which San Pedro del Pinatar is added every year with great success of participation since, over 350 major municipality, attended activities programmed into the Home of the Pensioner "José Espinosa," a mass, a convivial meal, the performance of the choir and dance to close the day.

The events began around 13:00, with a mass campaign subsequently a convivial meal at which were present Leopoldo Navarro, Manager of the Murciano Institute of Social Action, closely linked to the municipality director and stressed held major effort, which he described as "a generation of young brave who fought to make our country a leader in many aspects and are currently an example of overcoming".

Beside him, Enrique Pérez Abellán, Director General of Aging and the mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitation Martinez, who thanked everyone for their attendance and invited those present to enjoy a well-deserved day.
