Improving urban roads, a new Employment Plan and Management, a ferry line between Lo Pagan and La Manga, more sustainable lighting and adaptation to management and electronic billing, are some of the investments planned for next exercise
The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitation Martinez and Councillor of Finance, José Fernández, today presented the draft general budget for 2015, which will be discussed at the regular full next Monday, December 15th.
Visitation Martinez said the budget for next year amounts to 24.33 million euros and it is based on criteria of economic rigor, budgetary stability and transparency.
This document, he added, is to ensure the welfare of the citizens of San Pedro del Pinatar, promote economic activity and job creation.
The mayor has indicated that these principles translate into increased spending on social games, pulse entrepreneurship and promoting employment, and tax measures to reduce the tax burden on citizens.
The budget spending, the biggest item is intended for personal, reaching 9.95 million, 40.9% of the total and an increase of 3.7% compared to 2014, resulting, among other measures in the replacement of 25% of the Christmas bonus 2012.
IMPROVEMENT OF SOCIAL POLICY AND EMPLOYMENT
The current expenditure amounted to 7.3 million euros, 10.85% more than in 2014, this increase occurs mainly because the budget reflects 415,000 euros of tax relief on social assistance.
Also increases the line for food, pharmaceutical and staple products, endowed with 50,000 euros, 66% more than last year.
Funds intended to promote employment, amounting to 115,000 euros, led to a new edition of Municipal Employment Plan also increase.
Headings also increase safety and civil protection, the maintenance of the new Center for Integrated Security and leasing new vehicles Police, as well as those for the maintenance of basic services such as garbage, which increases by 121,000 euros for improvement and expansion of the collection service in summer and holidays.
Current Transfers chapter, amounting to 877,500 euros and includes grants that the city gives collective and social, sporting and cultural organizations.
Stresses the 20% increase in the endowment of the Solidarity Cart addressed to associations working with the food bank, amounting to 24,000 euros, and aid to public transport, an increase of 16% in the grant to the city bus endowed with 30,000 euros, and a new endowment of 15,000 euros for the implementation of a ferry service between La Manga and Lo Pagán March to October.
Martinez has indicated that social spending, including subsidies, grants and subsidies for vulnerable groups, in their joint exceeds 560,000 euros.
A RENOVATED AND SUSTAINABLE CITY

An investment of 75,300 euros for the implementation of management and electronic invoice, mechanisms to enhance transparency and accessibility of the City Council will be held.
The estimate of income tax cuts materialize in the Tax Motor Vehicle and Property Tax adopted at the session of October, plus bonuses on open rates of establishments and goodwill.
The mayor pointed out that these measures are aimed at easing the tax burden of pinatarenses citizens and promote entrepreneurship and provide credit facilities to fulfill their obligations.
The mayor has concluded that the Budget for 2015 is a rigorous and realistic document, which delves into the social protection, employment promotion and improvement of public spaces, under criteria of efficiency, transparency and rigor.
