The number of registered unemployed in February in San Pedro del Pinatar stood at 2,644 unemployed, representing a reduction of 27 people from the previous month, the councilor for Employment, Antonio García.
Compared to the same month last year, unemployment has fallen 3.22 percent, which translates into 88 fewer unemployed in February 2014.
Garcia has also emphasized that unemployment is below the levels recorded in February 2012, with a figure of 2,781 unemployed.
The mayor of employment has also indicated that unemployment has decreased mainly in the group of people over 45 years, with 25 fewer unemployed, and fields of activity the construction and service sectors have been those who have experienced a greater decline.
Another fact that supports this positive trend in the labor market is the increase in the number of contributions to social security.
