The regular meeting of the Board of City has addressed the approved budget for the year 2015, municipal investments this year, the project "Basket Solidarity" and the storm tank and urban drainage in Lo Pagan.
Thus, after appointing a member of the Council of special relevance to Fernando Carrasco Argüeso, current president of the Red Cross Assembly Mar Menor North, Councillor of Finance, José Fernández Andreo, explained the main lines of the municipal budget for 2015 and the execution result last year.
The council stressed the commitment to transparency of some tight and balanced budgets, and that has increased the level of social spending without raising taxes.
Subsequently, the mayor of urbanism, Angela Gaona outlined major investments planned for 2015, such as the paving of several areas of the municipality and adequacy of roads, replacement lamps for low energy lighting, renovation of parks and gardens, and improvement of facilities sports, among others.
In the area of ​​municipal subsidies for associations, the Councillor for Citizen Participation, Silvia Egea, recalled that for the third consecutive year the project of "Contents Solidarity", worth 24,000 euros, intended as a supplement will develop all municipal associations collaborate with the Food Aid Plan of the Region of Murcia.
Finally, the municipal engineer Juan José Egea explained the project to neighboring tank and urban storm drainage area of ​​Lo Pagan, Villananitos and La Puntica, which will begin soon and that aims at collecting rainwater for prevent overflows and discharges to the Mar Menor.
The mayor thanked the Board members participating in this organ involvement that aims to be a forum for exchange of views and debate the administration closer to citizens.
