The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitation Martinez, and Councilman Volunteering, Álvaro Tárraga and municipal technicians responsible Volunteering Local Plan met today with volunteers who are currently involved in health care, cultural, sporting, educational and in collaboration with local associations as AIDEMAR, AFEM, FAGA and AMMA.
The Mayor, Visitation Martinez, thanked the volunteers diversity of actions performed, altruistically and solidarity, bringing the best of each and helping to improve the town in many social and civic areas.
For its part, the delegate Councillor volunteer, Álvaro Tárraga, made an overall assessment of the program since its inception in 2012, introducing new activities proposed for the season of Easter and summer, focusing on sports and social volunteering.
Parallel exposing volunteers contributed their experiences, demands and needs, as well as proposing new policy areas.
The Department of volunteerism has exceeded hundred volunteers and has made cooperation agreements with the University of Murcia for all college students who can validate their voluntary actions CRAU credits or free configuration, nursing homes and the Federation Roma associations for the implementation of school support workshops that facilitate prevention of absenteeism.
