The sixth edition of the procession marches also included a tribute to Procesionista the Year, distinctive given by the General Council of Groups to Pilar de la Osa.
The church of the Holy Trinity hosted last night, March 20, the VI Contest composition Marches Easter Procession of the Villa de San Pedro, which was winning the play "Holy Calvary" by José Luis Molina Gomis.
During the ceremony the Union Musical de San Pedro band, led by Rafael López Good, director of the contest, played the final four marches, of the 25 submitted, titled "Eternal Love", "The Promise", "Mater Salvatoris" and "Holy Calvary."
The march "Holy Calvary" was the winner of the sixth edition with a prize of 1,600 euros and becoming part of the Brotherhood of Our Lady of Mercy.
The second prize of 800 went to "The Promise" by Daniel Hernández Ros, while the play "Mater Salvatoris" by Antonio González Ecija, won third prize of 400 euros.
The jury was composed by José Ibáñez Barrachina, Doctor cum laude in Music from the Polytechnic University of Valencia and Professor of Trumpet Corps of Professors of Music and Performing Arts of the Region of Murcia, M. Isabel Rubio Molina, director holder Union Musical San Pedro and President of the Jury, Juan José Hernández Navarro, director of the Municipal Band of Almeria, Pedro Contreras Almela, composer and musician, professor of piano at the Conservatory of Music, and José Manuel Castello, Director of Music General Air Academy.
During the ceremony the title of Procesionista the year was also presented, which the council gave Pilar de la Osa, for his contribution to Easter pinatarense in different brotherhoods.
The repertoire performed by the municipal band was completed with the pieces, In Cer, Juan Linares;
Dulce Nombre de Maria, Victor Ferrer;
The Fall of José Vélez;
My mother Maria, José Ignacio Chamorro, and Mesopotamia, José Vélez.
The competition has had this year in collaboration with Espinosa Nurseries, Lizarran Zenia Boulevard, Casas Ros Lucretius, Music Levante, Marisol García Clinic, Coaches La Inmaculada, Restaurant The Vines, The Café, Baró Furniture, Insurance Samper, Shop, Restaurant Acapulco , La Taska, Escudero Photographer, Javier García.
