The Ministry of Agriculture and Water, through the Directorate General of Environment, has collected today, among others, the suggestion of participants in the Governing Board of the Regional Park of Salinas and Arenales de San Pedro del Pinatar, lifting a proposal to the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment to study a definite technical solution to the degradation of the beach of La Llana, as it is most important to resolve in the face of the conservation objectives of that park problem.
The call was attended by representatives of various ministries, municipalities of San Pedro del Pinatar and San Javier, neighborhood associations and environmental associations, among other agents that make up the social fabric of the Park.
Environment also got other suggestions from participants at the Governing Board, held at the Visitor Center 'Las Salinas', such as improving the network of trails to make them more accessible and thus encourage public use, expanding studies biological monitoring to other species not listed so far, such as amphibians and reptiles, study the dynamics of sabinar of Cotorrillo to habitat degradation by the presence of non-native species, address a comprehensive management strategy dunes to prevent degradation restrict vehicle access in the vicinity of the Center for Marine Resources and do a study on carrying capacity of visitors to the park and beaches, as has been done in Calblanque.
Memory management for 2014 was approved at the meeting and reported on the proposed implementation of the Directorate General for Environment 2015 and the draft Master Plan for Use and Management (PRUG) of that Regional Park.
The Director General of Environment, embodies Molina, who chaired the said Board, said that the aim of the Community, as is being broadcast in the meetings of the Governing Boards, is "to ensure that the contributions made by the representatives of the tissue social of this protected area can be incorporated in making management decisions.
