The president of Mar Menor North Red Cross, Fernando Carrasco, accompanied by the mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitation Martinez, today inaugurated the new headquarters of the formation in the locality.
This restaurant, located in the central Zurbarán street is divided into two zones, one for administrative work, with service points for users, voluntary service, training, and Youth Red Cross, and a large warehouse for parking of vehicles and boats where he also held the collection, storage and distribution of food and other products among people experiencing social exclusion.
Red Cross President explained that this move has been possible thanks to the agreement with the Fire Consortium Murcia, which also allows the seal of the region occupies the ground floor of the former headquarters of the association, located in the Las Beatas, where Red Cross will continue to serve on the first floor.
For its part, the mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar stressed that these new facilities will enable the Red Cross to better serve and continue the great social work being done in the town.
The City Council has worked in the electrical installation of the new headquarters, in addition to the removal and installation of furniture.
