The mayor of San Javier, Visitation Martinez, presented today at a press conference the campaign "Children even a drop," driven by the FEBE and which has recently joined the municipality.
This campaign aims to alert about the dangers of drinking and offer healthy leisure alternatives for younger children.
Visitation Martinez explained that this action is part of the Municipal Plan for the Prevention of Drug Addiction and acts in three areas.
Thus, the campaign includes disseminating guides with complete information on the effect of alcohol on children, the myths of alcohol and how to act when a child shows that consuming alcohol;
distributed teams orientation of the various secondary schools to develop specific activities and talks.
Moreover a publication for entertainment, which is entitled "You serve, you decide", to be divided between bars, pubs and other establishments frequented by young people is included.
This guide includes general information about alcohol, legal entrono and legal responsibility as well as skills and methods to provide a responsible service.
"Children not a drop" includes targeted actions also directly to young people through social networks, in order to motivate them to practice a healthy leisure and away from alcohol.
In this context, the Department of Social Services has enjoyed the cooperation of the world of sport pinatarense, who wanted to convey to young people the municipality the opportunity to have fun without alcohol.
The message comes through Local Kayak Polo team which holds achievements at national and European level, ranking among the elite of the sport;
the squash player Cristina Gomez, winner of Spain sub 17 and sub 19, Champion of Spain sub 19 and sub 17, absolute runner and player with the Spanish team.
He has also participated Pinatar football club, which plays in the third division.
