The Emergency Service of San Pedro del Pinatar has increased its medical supplies with a new defibrillator monitor, which has had a budget of about 15,200 euros and improves and facilitates the tasks of monitoring and defibrillation 112 assists.
The new defibrillator monitor is easy to use, compact, lightweight andis designed to meet a variety of needs defibrillation and monitoring in one device, allowing for sharing between the technical staff of 112 in AED mode and medical equipment advanced support in manual mode.
Thus, in the AED mode, voice prompts in Spanish and text messages guide the technicians during the defibrillation process, while the monitor / defibrillator continuously monitors the patient.
Once it reaches the advanced medical equipment, the monitor / defibrillator is easily changed to manual mode, enabling healthcare have access to advanced treatment units.
