Registered unemployment in the municipality in May unemployed stood at 2,291, representing a reduction of 70 unemployed, 2.96% compared to February.
The number of registered unemployed in March in San Pedro del Pinatar stood at 2,291 unemployed, representing a reduction of 70 unemployed from the previous month and 90 unemployed over the same month of 2014.
Unemployment has declined in all age sectors, mainly among people aged 25 to 45, with 56 fewer unemployed, of which 14 are men and 42 women.
15 men and seven women has also decreased unemployment in people over 45, in 22 people.
By activity, unemployment has fallen mainly in the service sector, with 71 fewer unemployed.
This positive trend in job creation is also reflected in data from the Social Security, because in April (last month quantified locally) there was an increase of 175 contributors to Social Security, bringing the total to 6,433 affiliations.
