The Councillor for Tourism, Silvia Egea, received this award from the Spanish Tourism Quality Institute recognizes the quality and services of the beaches.
The Councillor for Tourism, Silvia Egea Morales, was present yesterday, June 25, at the Eighth Annual Official Delivery Q Flags to beaches and nautical sports facilities organized by the Institute for Spanish Tourism Quality (ICTE) in Madrid
The event was chaired by the Minister of Industry, Energy and Tourism, José Manuel Soria and the president of ICTE, Miguel Mirones, accompanied by Secretary of State for Tourism, Isabel Borrego.
This year 230 beaches and 20 facilities have been certified with this label, including the beaches of La Puntica and Villananitos in San Pedro del Pinatar.
The Q for Quality Tourism flags on the beaches are a symbol of trust that guarantees the management thereof by the municipalities responsible.
The commitment is to the daily improvement to ensure the enjoyment of users in terms of cleanliness, safety, security and environmental friendliness.
A flag Q Quality ensures daily cleaning of sand, about the sea state, monitoring by qualified lifeguards, signaling risk areas or limited swimming and environmental preservation of the beach.
