Youth Hostel San Pedro del Pinatar has welcomed this week's Science Camp "Light: source of science, technology and progress" intended for students of upper secondary and organized by the Universidad del Mar.
The Councillor for Education of San Pedro del Pinatar, Guadalupe Garcia, and the camp director, Enrique Fernandez Josua, closed the Friday, June 26, this event organized by the Universidad Internacional del Mar.
The camp, designed for students of third and fourth high school, has been developed at the Youth Hostel of San Pedro del Pinatar and also the dissemination of scientific teaching has included entrono recreational activities like water sports, guided tour of the park Natural Salinas and Arenales of San Pedro, beach days or celebrating the night of San Juan.
Other activities throughout the week have developed various optical workshops, recreational chemical, light and biological rhythms, launching homemade rockets or building optical instruments, among others, in addition to lectures and conferences.
The aim of this camp is to bring in an entertaining and fun scientific knowledge to young high school students to awaken in them a concern for these disciplines.
