The "Connecting Peolple United for a Better Future" project brings together young people from Spain, Sweden, Italy and Turkey to address the use of new technologies from a European perspective.

The mayor of San Javier, Visitation Martinez and the councilman of Youth council of San Javier, Estíbaliz Masegosa, today presented the project that both municipalities involved, along the consistory of Los Alcázares, from 2013.

Visitation Martinez recalled that in 2013 the municipalities of Mar Menor participated for the first time together on this project with a youth exchange first held in San Javier and focused on cyberbullying.

After the exchange in Sweden last year, which also involved young people from the three locations, the Italian group is the host of this year, focusing on the exchange cyberbullying and their use youth social networks.

Also this year, young people also participate for the first time in Turkey.

Participants will be 40 young, 10 for each country, between 14 and 18 years old, from Italy, Spain, Sweden, Spain and Turkey.

Besides improving the use and learning of young people in new technologies, exchange also aims to improve participants mastering foreign languages ​​to interact in different environments and contexts know and understand different cultures and improve their social skills, working a team with young people from other places, explained the mayor.

The exchange will take place from 6 to 16 July in Todi (Italy), and participate Associazione E.In.E.

Italy as the host organization;

Solna Youth Centre in Sweden;

municipalities of San Javier, San Javier and Los Alcázares, representing Spain, and Young Pioneers Society of Turkey.

Meanwhile, Estíbaliz Masegosa has stressed the great experience that has meant for the young participants in previous editions such exchanges also help them get closer to Europe and understand it in a different way.

The project is coordinated by youth counselors of the three participating municipalities, through the program of Youth Correspondents.
