The mayor of San Javier and the Councillor for Sports, Daniel Perez, received the team of Dragon Boat Sports Association Pinatarense has been proclaimed champion of Europe in the form of DB 22 Senior Open, Queen modality of international competitions, and bronze in 500 meters.
In addition, the team represented the national team in the Italian race where he won two silver medals in 500 and 2000 meters and a creditable fourth place at 200 meters.
Both the mayor and the council, which presented a plaque to the team congratulated Pinatarense Sports Association for the results of this competition with which they started the international season.
Dragon boat team PINATAR which this year celebrates its tenth anniversary, will compete in August at the European Championship clubs in the European Dragon Boat Federation (EDBF) in the French town of Divonne les Bains.
