Local associations and Mikaseda FAGA, in collaboration with the local volunteer plan, develop summer activities aimed at younger at the Center for Emerging Arts and Leisure.
Councillors for Citizen Participation, Fuensanta Garcia and Volunteering, Daniel Perez, visited this week Leisure Centre and Emerging Arts where associations Faga Mikaseda and develop programs for children during the summer.
Thus, the Federation of Roma, FAGA, in collaboration with the local volunteer plan, carries a workshop school support for Roma students, included in the project Edukaló against truancy.
In this activity, the gypsy mediator has the support of a monitor of leisure time and a university volunteer, student teacher.
Additionally, this center the Mikaseda association, develops during the summer a playroom to children of 4-12 years in which drawing and painting workshops, cooking, recycling, body language, and popular games are made.
The Councillor for Citizen Participation, Fuensanta Garcia stressed the importance of partnerships in the social fabric of the town and the work being done in promoting inclusion and participation, solidarity and learning, among other values.
Meanwhile Daniel Perez highlighted the work of college volunteers, as well as the new line of youth volunteering in the various local projects, as reflected in its inclusion in the work of these two associations.
