The center "Villa Miracle" and the Virgen del Mar residence host until August 31 a total of 35 children from centers and Mother Paula Cardinal Belluga of Murcia.
The Minister of Family and Equal Opportunities, Thomas Violante, and the Mayor of San Javier, Visitation Martinez, today visited the centers Villa Milagrosa and residence Virgen del Mar, located in Lo Pagan.
The approximately 200 children who currently maintains the Department of Family and Equal Opportunities in care spend their holidays in different homes on the coast.
Thus, Thomas Violante has referred to the excellent work done by the team of professionals who care, who work for the physical and emotional welfare of these children.
"The children are in protective custody or guardianship measure, have had to be removed from their families in situations of abuse, sexual abuse, abandonment, neglect or any other indicator of helplessness. They live a situation of vulnerability that try to improve with the dedication and professionalism of psychologists, social workers and educators working here with them for their day to day better, "said Thomas Violante.
In San Pedro del Pinatar they visited the center 'Villa Milagrosa', which every summer the minors in the Cardenal Belluga Murcia Center move.
This summer there are 24 children who spend their holidays there until next August 31.
During the visit, the mayor of San Javier, Visitation Martinez, explained that through Local Volunteerism Plan, a total of five municipal volunteers collaborate with educators in this center work trips, extracurricular activities, workshops and games .
They also traveled to the Virgin Residence of the Sea, owned by the Franciscan Sisters, who manage the shelter Mother Paula de Murcia, where 11 juveniles there admitted, between 7 and 12 years of age and which are also developed social camps throughout the summer.
So that children share the holidays with other children coming from different localities of the region of Murcia, incorporated into the residences proposed "Caritas-Murcia", "Red Cross", "Oblate Center" Social Services and Cartagena, among other.
The minister referred to the solidarity of the families of the region and the success they have different formulas that the Ministry of Family and Equal Opportunities is developing to promote the integration of these children.
"The Foster Care is presented as a solidarity and social resource to take care of him against income protection centers. It facilitates the child a human and emotional support for the normal development of his personality, in addition to protect those cores family members, their special characteristics, we are creating a situation of risk, "said Thomas Violante.
